uNAVSA: Union of North American Vietnamese Student Association

The Union of North American Vietnamese Students Associations (uNAVSA), a non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization, was founded in 2004 as a means for Vietnamese youth organizations from across North America to network, share common resources and collaborate with one another. In 2005, uNAVSA established the annual Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) to provide a medium for students and youths across North America to join together behind one charitable cause build leaders, relationships and form a foundation for the Vietnamese Community. uNAVSA is proud to present the CPP bid for 2008-2009 to VietHope.

VietHope

VietHope is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization founded in 2002. The organization operates on an all volunteer-staff of 20 in the U.S. and 30 in Vietnam. To promote Vietnam’s socio-economic development, VietHope provides access to education for financially disadvantaged students in Vietnam through scholarships and infrastructure development projects.  Since 2002, VietHope has created educational opportunities for over 1,200 students at the primary, secondary and university education levels.
