After reviewing all 15 CPP applications, our voting board voted on whom they wanted to see in the Top 3. Every point made an impact as was evident in a tie, which was broken by a second round of voting to determine the third candidate. This round was a heads up vote between the two organizations. With the CPP candidate voting process complete, I am pleased to present the top 3 candidates, in alphabetical order.
- Forgotten People Foundation (www.forgottenpeople.net)
- Good Samaritan Medical and Dental Ministries (www.GSMDM.org)
- Medical, Educational Missions Outreach (www.memo.zotters.org)
Members of the voting board include the UNAVSA Executive board and the Council of Regional Representatives. Voters ranked the organizations 1 through 15, 1 being their top choice and 15 being their lowest choice. Points were then totaled in order to determine the Top 3 organizations (the 3 organizations with the lowest score). After the initial round of voting there was a tie for the 3rd position in the top 3. Their voting data can be found here in this google document.
We will be welcoming these 3 organizations to our 9th annual UNAVSA conference in July to present their projects for CPP.
In the following weeks preceding conference, we will be highlighting each of these organizations for you all to learn more about their missions and proposed projects. Please visit cpp.unavsa.org/selection to view their proposals and future highlights.
