2012 CPP Beneficiary – Children of Vietnam – 2nd Audit Report

Hello UNAVSA Family!!!

Happy July 4th!!! Hope everyone is excited for UNAVSA-10 which is less than a month away! CPP Audit Committee would like to present to you the 2nd audit report for Children of Vietnam.

During 2011-2012, the Union of North American Vietnamese Student Associations (UNAVSA) Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) raised a total of $45,951.46 for the Children of Vietnam’s “Hope System of Care (HSC) for Children with Disabilities” project. Since then, UNAVSA CPP and Children of Vietnam have been working together to ensure the donations are used to care for children in Vietnam.

UNAVSA CPP has made the third installment payments (out of 4) of $11,487.87 to Children of Vietnam on April 1st, 2013.

As of now, HSC has been carried-on in two districts: Hai Chau and Ngu Hanh Son. Here the program worked to assist in the enrollment of children into the program. At Hai Chau, a total of 88 HSC beneficiaries were approved for enrolling into the HSC program.

Children of Vietnam was featured on IRIN (Humanitarian news and analysis) talking about the support groups provided by COV to help parents of disabled children in Vietnam on May 30, 2013.
